Master Gildo Alfinete
Master Gildo Alfinete was born in 1940, in Salvador, Bahia. He fell in love with capoeira at the age of 13, when used watch the capoeiristas praciting at the old port of Bahia. With the help of hsi friend, Dr. Colmenero, he joined the studio of Master Pastinha, the Capoeira Angola Sports Center (CECA), there he developed a great friendship with Master Pastinha.

Master Gildo Alfinete today holds the prominent position of President of the Brazilian Association of Consul of Masters of Capoeira Angola or ABCA, located in Pelourinho, Salvador. There he is responsible for caring for the ABCA collection at the first Capoeira Anogla Museum in the world. Like Master Gato Preto, in 1966 he also participated in the Brazilian delagation for the first International Festival of African Arts, in Dakar(Senegal). A great master of Capoeira Angola, he receives everyone at the Capoeira Angola Museum with plenty of kindness.
