Master Mão Branca
Master Mão Branca, got his nickname in a street roda in Niterói, when he showed up wearing a pair of white gloves. He the founder of the group Capoeira Gerais and continues to give back to the community by helping and teaching children on the street and children with Down Syndrome. As Master Mao Branca likes to say, he uses capoeira as a "instrument for good citizenship". By taking children off the street and giving them direction, capoeira gives them a future.
